And as i said try to use top level domain like .com, .info, .org.  because Google prefer top level domains and if you are having sub-domain  please don't think of applying for adsense, and its just gonna cost you 10$ a year, this is a little investment for you after getting ads this will be done, and you can also buy a nice expired domain and old domain from go daddy and flipa auction, Google likes old and aged domain

Design is a important in blogger try to use nice a professional look with simple CSS style with no to many widgets, your blog must be easy to navigate for the blog readers so they can keep stay in your blog, try to have most popular post widget and social networking buttons so this brings more audience  and use H2 tags for heading or title as they can give nice Google results

How much amount of traffic should i need before applying for Google adsense ?

Your blog must have a decent amount of traffic with at least 200 - 300 visitors a day, if you have more than this good because more traffic more money. And the more important thing to know is that you have to get more traffic from Google search that is important, organic traffic is important traffic from social sites is secondary if not there is no chance Google adsense to Get Approved

 Google pays you with a check that you can use in citi banks for money, on applying for adsense try to give your contact information correctly and give your bank account name correctly if you give your address wrong your check will not be sent to you.
